Multiplication- Intro and Lesson

Ever wonder what Multiplication is? Well, you're in luck because we'll

be teaching you the basics of Multiplication! Alright, enough of me talking, let's get started right now! Take the example I gave you and write it down on a piece of paper!

 3x2=6

 (3+3 or 2+2+2=6)

3

Basics

----------------------------

So my example was 3x2=6, you wanna know why?

Well, 3x2 is another way to say 3+3 or 2+2+2=6.

So let's say there's 3 circles, and we have 2 in each

of them. Count how many are INSIDE of each circle.

Remember, 2+2+2 is 6, so the answer is 6.

Information

-------------------

- The "x" in the multiplication equation is the symbol for the equation.

- If you see long sentences like 2+2+2, that's called repeated Addition.

  • Multiplication is a shorter way of seeing Addition like, 3x2 is shorter than

2+2+2 and it will make sense if you practice Multiplication.

Watch a Multiplication Video and discuss the following Questions

  • Does Multiplication make sense to you know?

  • How do you feel? Rate a 1, 2, 3 or 4 to show how you feel.

  • Are you willing to learn more about this lesson?
