The clef sign determines what the letter names are for the line and spaces of the staff.​

​For each clef, we only use the first SEVEN letters of the alphabet:

A B C D E F G

Don't go to other letters of the alphabet...this is as far as it goes!

  • An easy way to remember treble clef spaces from the bottom up is that it spells FACE.

  • ​For treble clef lines, we can use a sentence that has words for each letter in order.

  • ​My favorite sentence for treble clef lines from the the bottom up is Every Good Band Deserves Fudge. (fun fact...I like that because fudge is one of my very favorite foods!)
