​Hello, all! My name is Petra and I come from a country with more than 1200 islands. We are a tourist country because our coastline and the sea are beautiful. We even have an island shaped like a heart. If I tell you we are near Italy would you be able to quess where I am from?

I am an English teacher now but when I was a teeenager I wanted to become a lawyer. I used to love watching American crime shows and I imagined that some day I would get a chance to stand up in the courtroom and exclaim: 'Objection, Your Honour!'

Then, one day, my father, who is also a lawyer, explained to me that a trial in Croatia doesn't look like the one in the USA, and that no one ever 'objects' to anything. Somehow that made my desire to become a lawyer grow smaller until it completely disappeared. After this I decided to study foreign languages and become a teacher. Today, I help other teenagers become better at expressing themselves in English. I guess helping people one way or the other has always been in my blood.

​Hi. I’m Elsa, writing you from the Southwestern tip of Europe. We are a small country with an extended coastline. Although we are a very homogenic people, tourists often praise us for our diversity, of culture, food, scenery, but especially like us for our sympathy.

When I was 14 I was supposed to choose my career path. I had to take my first very difficult decision, between being a Maths or an English teacher. Back then, I loved both subjects equality. So, I attended sports for a year, hoping for a “light”. It came about in the shape of a teacher, who deepened my interest in languages. I never once regretted this choice. Being a teacher of English has opened unimaginable doors to the world, enriching my life in a way otherwise impossible!
