Subject: Soft Drinks and Its Effect on Students
Introduction
This report focuses on the negative effects of soft drinks on our students and recommendations to curb this consumption.
Negative Effects of Soft Drinks
Soft drinks are very popular among teenagers. They are found in vending machines and convenience stores. However, they have identified as a significant contributor to many health conditions such as diabetes, obesity and bone deterioration due to their high sugar content. They also contain additives and colourings. Therefore, we nee to help our students stop this unhealthy habit.
8
Recommendations
Firstly, school administration should immediately stop the sale of these soft drinks at the canteen, school tuck shop and vending machines.
Next, in order to raise awareness of this unhealthy drink, the school could organise an exhibition. We should encourage participations from each class. Students are required to do research and present more information to raise awareness. Besides, we could invite parents for a talk on nutrition and health.
Last but not least, the school could get sponsorship to install water coolers around the school to help students to drink more water.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, soft drinks are indeed harmful and I hope that the recommendations above will be helpful in curbing the consumption of soft drinks.
