Discuss the contrast between a "pastiche" and a "parody"
Identify ten (10) artworks from famous master artists

Using any source find the definition for the terms "PASTICHE" and "PARODY" and type your response.

Defintion of terms: PASTICHE & PARODY
PASTICHE: an artistic work in a style that imitates that of another work, artist or period.
PARODY: an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist or genre with a deliberate exaggeration for comic effect.

Based on the definitions of a pastiche and parody, in your own words, can you state the difference between the two :pastiche and parody.

Pastiche vs Parody
Everyone basically is familiar with the famous artwork of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.
Just to give a visual example of the difference between a pastiche and a parody, the artwork at the top would be how the original artwork would look, therefore it is the pastiche.
The artwork at the bottom, however would be considered to be a parody as it is exaggerated and making fun of the original look of the artwork

Master Artists
Master artist are those persons throughout the years that are renown for the unique talent and artistic skills in producing works of art and have therefore mastered or hone their craft.
Master artists have a unique feature in their artworks that distinguish them from other pieces of work or artists.
Some renown master artist include Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Rapheal, Pablo Picasso, Monet and Manet just to name a few.
In the Caribbean there are Barrington Watson, Cecil Baugh, Alvin Marriott and Edna Manley, just to name a few.
