• Untuk Menyatakan perasaan (feeling)​,indera (sense), pikiran/pendapat (mental state), dan kepemilikan (possession). Example: She is my girl friend. (dia adalah pacar saya)

• ​Untuk menyatakan kebenaran mutlak Example: Cheeta is the fastest anomal in the world.( Cheeta adalah hewan yang tercepat di dunia

• ​Untuk menunjukkan pekerjaan yang berulang-ulang dan rutin Example: She is walways goes to school in the morning

• ​Untuk membuat Conditional Sentence type 1 Example: ​I will buy everything if I have money ( Saya akan membeli segalanya jika saya memiliki uang)
