Transducer
A transducer is a device that receives a signal in the form of one type of energy andconverts it into another form of energy.
3
Transducer
A transducer is a device that receives a signal in the form of one type of energy andconverts it into another form of energy.
Sound to Electricity (electric signal)
Electricity to Mechanical energy
4
Using transducer
Most complex electrical circuits can be understood as a combination of input and output transducers separated by some form of signal-processing circuitry
5
Signal-processing components
Potentiometer: consisting of a three-terminal resistor with a sliding orrotating contact called the wiper.
Potentiometer can be used as
a simple variable resistor.
a voltage divider.
6
Input transducer
Thermistor : A thermistor is a type of variable resistor. The resistance of the thermistor, however, depends on its temperature.
7
Input transducer
Light dependent resistor: is an input transducer that provides a variable resistance in the circuit. As its name suggests, a light-dependent resistor (also known as an LDR or photoresistor) is a transducer whose resistance depends onthe amount of light falling on it.
Usually an LDR is designed to have a very highresistance in the dark (for example a few million ohms). In the light, their resistancecan drop as low as a few hundred ohms.
8
Input transducer
Diodes: A diode is a semiconductor device that has the special property that it will only allow electrical current to flow through it in one direction.
9
Input transducer
Diodes: A diode is a semiconductor device that has the special property that it will only allow electrical current to flow through it in one direction.
It's a polarized device.
10
Output transducer
Diodes: A diode is a semiconductor device that has the special property that it will only allow electrical current to flow through it in one direction.
