1/Case 1: The underlined word is the subject →Replace the underlined word by wh-question word
Ex: The book is on the table.
→What is on the table?
2/Case 2: the underlined word is NOT the subject →see “a/” or “b/”:
a/ there are some special verbs (have/has/had +V-3/ed, am/ is/ are/ were/ was, will/shall/may/might/must/would/should/could/can) → convert the special verbs to stand before the subject
Ex: We have stayed there for 20 years.
→ How long have you stayed there?
