​Traditions and Events

• ​Oversee Spocial including the Leaders and their events

• ​Facilitate Friday meetings

• ​Promote general office morale through fun things in and out of the office for you to participate

• ​Host outside office events for high school students or alumni

• ​Uphold the traditions of the Admissions Welcome Center family

​What is Spocial?

​spirit + social = Spocial

​

​Made up idea that officially started in Winter 2019 in the office.

​Geared towards bringing the office together.

​We host events outside of regular office time.

​We lead different Friday meetings and events.

​Spocial Leaders

• ​These are the people in the office that you can turn to with any fun ideas you may have.

• ​70s- Clay

• ​80s- Jaden

• ​90s- Liv

• ​00s- Daira

• ​They will help plan and host all of the office events.

​Office things to know

• ​Squads - You have all been assigned to your own squads for the year. This will be a great way for you to make connections outside of your shifts. Feel free to chat with your team on Slack, hang out, etc.

• Points - Your squad will be competing throughout the year to earn the most points. There is also a monthly squad winner for the team that earns the most as well as an individual points winner.

• Swoop Shoutouts - There is a green box in the office to drop any shoutouts you have for anyone else. These will be shared and can be anonymous or not. If you work virtually, you can Slack me at any time to have a shoutout delivered to someone for you.

Friday Meetings​

• mandatory unless you request off

• include icebreakers

• sometimes will have a theme

• ​chance to interact with the full office

• ​sometimes have events instead of a formal meeting
