Cuando queremos escribir adverbial clauses of time en inglés, utilizamos los siguientes conectores:
-when= cuando
-as soon as=en cuanto
-before=antes de que
-after=después de que
-until=hasta que
Existen otros, sin embargo, éstos son los más comunes.

Examples:
I usually take a shower after I have breakfast.

ADVERBIAL CLAUSES OF TIME EN PASADO
También es posible escribir oraciones en pasado simple. Siempre utilizando los conectores: when, after, before, as soon as y until.
Examples:
They went out with friends when they finished their homework.
Ellos salieron con los amigos cuando terminaron la tarea.
En esta oración, como te puedes dar cuenta, ambos verbos están en pasado (went out y finished). Por lo tanto, es importante conocer el pasado simple de los verbos.

Adverbial Clauses of time in future
Para escribir oraciones con adverbial clauses en future siempre utilizamos los conectores: when, after, before, as soon as y until. Por supuesto, que existen otros, pero éstos son los más comunes. Let's see some examples:
They will take a shower when they arrive home.
Ellos se bañarán cuando lleguen a casa.
Tom will take a shower when he arrives home.
Tom se bañará cuando llegue a casa.
Es importante hacer notar que la primera oración está redactada en futuro (will) y la segunda está en presente simple. No olvides las terceras personas (he, she, it).
