​The history of Cosmetology dates back as far as 2630BC.

​From Countries like, Africa, Egypt, China, Greece, & Rome. And during the the Middle Ages, The Renaissance, The Victorian Age, & the Twentieth Century.

​The Egyptians

​Played a very important roll in the history of Cosmetology. They where the first to cultivate beauty in an extravagant fashion. They used cosmetics as part of their personal beautification habits, religious ceremonies, and preparation of the deceased for burial.

​The Africans

​where known for :

• ​Using a variety of hairstyles using them as a symbol of tribal traditions and conveyed a message of age, marital status, power, and ranks.

• Many tribes colored their hair with red earth, and wore elaborate hairstyles and head dressings as a symbol of statute
