Getting on the bike.

It was a sunny day. Tom was so excited to see that is was sunny, because he has wanted to ride his bike for forever, but it was rainy all week, so he couldn't. So today was the day! he ran down the stairs as fast as he could, and asked his mother if he could ride his bike. His mother said yes, but told him to wear a helmet. Tom really wanted to ride his bike, and felt that if he went all the way to the garage to get his helmet, it would take to long. So instead of listening to his mom, Tom just ran to his bike and started riding it.

As he was riding the bike, he was enjoying the birds chirping, and fresh air so much that he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. Two minutes later, he finally regained his attention, but looks forward to see a tree coming strait for him! He tries to swerve out of it, but missed and still hit the tree! BAM! Oh no! Tom fell! tom cried out for his mom. When his mom heard his cries, she came rushing out to where he fell. "Oh no!" "tom, are you ok!" "where is your helmet?" his mother said. tom looked down, "I did not brig my helmet, I'm sorry." As they hugged, tom promise to always wear his helmet when he rode his bike, because he now knows the safety it gives, and what could happen if he doesn't .
