Climate change is a big problem. Nearly everything we do makes it worse, from eating an apple to using air conditioning on a hot day. But how does it happen, who makes the most impact and how can we stop this. Let's find out!

​What is climate change?

​Weather is the temperature now. But climate is the average temperature that a place has been over a few years or more. Climate change is when the climate changes. The weather has to be different for a long time for this to happen. Climate change might happen naturally because the sun gets bigger or an ice age but climate change is nearly always caused by humans.

​What causes climate change?

Most of our impact on the climate comes from greenhouse gas emissions. This is a graph of the most emitting sectors. You can see making energy takes up the most and that 2nd place is industry.

​Now you know that we produce a lot of green house gasses, that a hard question to answer because many countries involved. Currently the biggest emitter is China with 27%, second USA at 15% and last the European Union at 10%.
