How to Succeed
You will need multiple pencils with functional erasers, a internet-capable device (phone, tablet, or laptop), and an organized notebook/binder for my classes. The best way to perform in my class is through diligent note-taking and organization. Because the subjects will be in-depth and skill-dependent, you should stay focused in the classroom at all times and write down anything which seems even moderately important. If you come to school without a functional device, then you should go to the office before coming to class and get a Kindle. Being late to class may mean missing an assignment grade (like a bellringer) that you cannot make up. Take care of bathroom stops, questions for other teachers, and other non-class related activities before coming to class. Don't come to class and then ask me to go take care of those things. I will say no.
3
Quizizz
Be sure to sign up for an account before the first day of school so we can hit the ground running. Downloading the app on any devices you plan to use in class will also make joining assignments easier for you.
You will have one more chance to join the Quizizz class in next week's lesson plan. All quizzes, tests, and lessons will be assigned via classes on Quizizz. This means that if you do not get into the class, you will not be able to participate in these assignments and you will receive a zero for any assignments missed for this reason.
4
Class Expectations and Readiness
You are expected to come to class on time and prepared. This means you should have your textbook, notebook/binder, pencil, and device before you walk through the door. We have a lot of material to cover in a relatively short amount of time, so being prepared means you will be ready to take notes, complete bellringers, and work on any assignments you have in class.
Your assigned book will be the only book you can use, so bring it to class with you and take it home when you have assignments to complete. If you do not have a textbook in class, you will have to share or go without. I will not be loaning out extra textbooks.
5
Renweb
You are responsible for keeping up with your own grades. Do not come ask me what your grade is in my class or what assignments you are missing if you have zeros. Check Renweb. If you cannot access Renweb, ask Mr. Eric about it and figure it out.
6
Concerns/Questions
If you have an issue you need to address with me, you should contact me first. You can email me or come see me after class or school. I'm always open to talk. Do not have your parents email me. This is to help with college prep. You can ask me how college offices handle parents who call to handle their child's issues because I worked in one. Learn now to handle your own problems and you'll be much better off.

LATE WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON
If you MUST turn in something late for extraneous circumstances, you MUST email me to keep me updated. No email, no grade!
10
Turning in and Completing Homework
Work must be turned in to the appropriate drawer in the homework box. If it is a zero in the gradebook, then I didn’t get it. If there is no name on the assignment, then it will be trashed. If it is improperly labeled or unlabeled, then it will be trashed. Feel free to ask me about any grades you believe I have messed up. I will very happily correct any mistakes.
