A conjunction is a word that is used to join words, phrases, clauses, or sentences.
There are three types of conjunctions:
1.Coordinating conjunctions
Correlative conjunctions
Subordinating conjunctions

A coordinating conjunction is a word placed between words, sentences or clauses of equal rank.
FANBOYS: the mnemonic for coordinating conjunctions. Each of these words has a different use.
For -means because
And - means another, addition
Nor - means not,
But - shows contrast
Or - means a choice
Yet - shows contrast/means “even” or “still”
So - gives result/means “in order that”
