​What does "Netiquette" mean?

Etiquette is a French word. It means "rules of behaviour".

Net = the Internet

Net + Etiquette = NETIQUETTE

​(but don't write in capitals like this :)

​Netiquette means "rules of behaviour on the Internet".

​Some rules of behaviour on the Internet

Rule one: Never leave any personal data, such as your phone number, home address or any details about yourself and your family.

Rule two: On social networks, don't add anyone you don't know as a friend.

Rule three: Don't offend anyone online. When you post something on the Internet, it can stay there forever!

Rule four: Never write in capitals, as it will seem like you are shouting.

And rule five: When you don't know what to do, always ask your parents and teachers!
