• A relatively permanent change in behavior as a result of experience.​

• ​Usually is the result of practice, observation, or other experiences.

​​Classical Conditioning: Stimuli and Responses

​​-Unconditioned Stimulus (US): Any stimulus that elicits (brings about) a response that is natural or unconditioned.

​

-Unconditioned Response (UR): Any response to a stimulus that is unlearned. A response that occurs naturally & in the absence of conditioning.

​​-Conditioned Stimulus (CS): a neutral stimulus that is repeatedly associated with an unconditioned stimulus until it acquires the ability to bring forth a response that it previously did not.

-Conditioned Response (CR): the learned or acquired response to a conditioned stimulus (CS).
