​Classical Conditioning: Stimuli and Responses

​-Unconditioned Stimulus (US): Any stimulus that elicits (brings about) a response that is natural or unconditioned.

-Unconditioned Response (UR): Any response to a stimulus that is unlearned. A response that occurs naturally & in the absence of conditioning.

​-Conditioned Stimulus (CS): a neutral stimulus that is repeatedly associated with an unconditioned stimulus until it acquires the ability to bring forth a response that it previously did not.
