Using Point-Slope to Write Slope-Intercept Form

How to write an equation of a line when you know the slope and at least one point on the line.

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

Given: m= 2 and the line goes through (1, 6)

​Write the Point-Slope equation of the line​

m is your slope

1 is your x value

6 is your y value

Plug in your values ---> y - 6 = 2(x - 1)
