Water is a precious matter to each and every one of us. We use water every day for washing, cooking and drinking purposes. So, we must make good use of every drop of water and not waste this precious matter. If we do not waste it, then we will not be short of it.

Here are a few ways to save water:
Check the taps in the house to make sure they are not leaking.
Take showers, not baths, in long tubs as taking baths requires a lot of water.
When you are soaping yourself during shower, turn off the tap.

Rainwater is clean and free, so collect rainwater to water plants and wash the porch.
Wash the car with buckets of water, not water direct from the hose.
Wash a full load of clothes in the washing machine every time.
