​TI Nspire CX II - BASICS

​When turning on your GDC, you are taken to the 'Home Screen'.

​

​The main settings for your GDC can be found in 5. Settings

​

​You can click 5 or use the touch screen to click on Settings.

​Choose 2. Document Settings

​

​You can use the touch screen OR press 2

​FLOAT 6 is STANDARD and will allow your GDC to round all numbers to a maximum of 6 digits.

​

Decimals starting with 0 will be rounded to 6 decimal places.

​The angle setting should be in Degree.

​The Exponential Format should be 'Normal'.

​

​Use your arrow buttons !

​

​If not Normal ... all your answers will be in 'Standard Form' (Scientific)

​

​The other settings are not important in IGCSE, go all the way down and click OK at the end

This screen displays the 7 major apps available for you. Each app is represented by a colourful button.

​The main apps used in IGCSE (and IB) are ...

​Calculator app

Used for regular calculations (like the calculator app on your phone!)

​Add a new page ... (one way)

​Go back to the home page ...

and use the arrows on top to add in a 'Graphing page'.

​Another way of adding a page ..

​1. Press CTRL

​2. Press DOC

​3. PICK '4 ADD LISTS & SPREADSHEETS'

​You should have 3 pages open ...

​Let's delete the Graphing page.

​Once you deleted the Graph page, let's enter the calculator page.

Some important buttons ...

​CTRL will activate all blue functions, on top of the buttons.

​Copying a previous calculation

​Use the arrows above, check until the wanted line of working is blue ... press ENTER
