Announcements

An announcement is a public statement which gives information about something that has happened or that will happen

Announcements can be made in response to something such as rumors, or can be made for positive reasons such as the introduction of a new product or practice.

Announcement can be made in a written or spoken form.

Generic structure of an announcement 

· Purpose; the text that states what event will be held.     

· Day and date and time; the text that states when the event will be held.

· Place; the text that states where the event will be held.

· Informing people; the text that states the person who writes or the person to contact and the person whom it is addressed.
