Making sentences based on poll
Teacher elicits from students who answered each of the 5 options
A student is then helped to make a simple direct speech statement
eg. "I am interested in wild animals" said Johnny.
Teacher helps another student to make that into reported speech
eg. Johnny told me that he is interested in wild animals
Repeat the process a few times to make sure the class understood
May need to open a google doc to keep track of the sentences
Speaking practice in both direct and reported speech is main point
Make sure reported speech with Told and Asked is used
