How to identify shapes that end in -agon

​Pentagon

​This is a five-sided shape. You can remember this because penta is five letters.

Hexagon

This is a six-sided shape. You can remember this because hex has an X at the end and six also has an X at the end.

Heptagon

This is a seven-sided shape. You can remember this because heptagon sounds like hexagon so you can remember that it's after hexagon.

Octagon

This is a eight-sided shape. You can remember this because

​octa sounds like octopus and octopuses have eight legs.

Nonagon

This is a nine-sided shape. You can remember this by remembering that nona sounds like nine.

Decagon

This is a ten-sided shape. I don't have a shortcut for this so you just have to remember it. 😅
