What are adjectives?
Adjectives are parts of speech used to modify a noun or a pronoun.
They are used to provide descriptions of the items they modify.
They answer these questions: What kind?, How many? or Which ones?

What are adverbs?
Adverbs are words that modify (describes) a verb (he sings loudly), an adjective (very tall), another adverb (ended too quickly), or even a whole sentence (Fortunately, I had brought an umbrella). Adverbs often end in -ly, but some (such as fast) look exactly the same as their adjective counterparts. Adverbs typically express manner, place, time, frequency, degree, level of certainty, etc., answering questions such as how?, in what way?, when?, where?, and to what extent?.
