Halloween
Halloween, also known as All Hallows' Eve or All Saints' Eve, is a fun and spooky holiday celebrated on the last day of October, every year. The date is the 31st of October.
On this holiday, you can dress up as a superhero, a prince or princess, a witch or warlock, or even as your favourite animal. You can make your own costume or you can get one in a store.
3
On Halloween, you can also make a Jack-O-Lantern. This is usually a pumpkin with a silly or scary face carved into it. There are other decorations; like bats, black cats, skeletons, tombstones and spiders!
Most children go trick-or-treating. You go from house to house in a costume. When someone opens the door you say, "Trick or treat!"
4
The person who opens the door will give you chocolate, sweets, or even candied apples. Yum! But don't take too many!
On Halloween, you can also go to a haunted house, play pranks (tricks), go to a Halloween costume party or tell scary stories! Boo!
Happy Halloween!
