​THE PHILOSOPHY OF MONEY

​Money is also called cash or currency. In Vietnamese, money is called “tien” . However, Vietnamese often say “tiền tệ” or “tiền bạc” instead of only “tiền”.

“Tệ” and “bạc” is two words from Chinese that means “money”, but in English “tệ” means “bad” and “bạc” means “ungrateful”.

​We can buy two kinds of things with money:

​One is materials and the other is service (vật chất và dịch vụ)

A material is a specific commodity that we can see and touch, for example, clothes, rice, houses, vehicle, jewelry, lamp, fan, …etc.​

​The second thing we can use money to buy is service. For instance, we can use money to buy hair service. Other service is health service, educational service, etc..

For example: Money can buy medicine and services at hospital but not health. Because our health depends on our gene, our lifestyle and our practice but not on medicine or any service.

For example: Money can buy cosmetic services but not beauty. You can go to a beauty salon, ask them to make your nose become higher, your eyes, lips… to be more beautiful. But you donot look better because they are not yours. True beauty come from a beautiful soul.

What should be done with our money as following:

• First is for saving

• Second is for investment

• Third is for necessary things

• Fourth is for charity

• Firth is for offering

We respect the money we have but will never put it above ourselves, so it is our great tools to bring benefit and happiness to people.
