​Folk Art is a part of a country's cultural heritage. It speaks of their natural symbols that represent the country as well. It also shows their country's national identity and national unity.

​Folk art is identified through its secrecy of style, ans expression of sensitivity for art and beauty by a certain group consisting of the artists and the immediate audience.

​Indonesia is very rich in culture. Its art and culture are combined with religion and traditions influenced by Dutch colonists and Portuguese traders who introduced Western ideas.

​Their life is guided by principles such as gotong rayong or giving mutual support

​musyawarah or consultations before making an agreement or mufakat.
