​What is noun?

​a word used to identify any class of people, places, or things (common noun), or to name a particular one of these (proper noun).

​What is a suffix?

A suffix is a letter or group of letters, for example '-ly' or '-ness', which is added to the end of a word in order to form a different word.

Examples: -ation, -fy, -ing, -itis.

​A root word has no prefix or suffix — it's the most basic part of a word.
