What is Climate Change?
Climate change: a change in temperature, precipitation, or other weather patterns over a long time.
For example: When the rainforest turns into a desert, that is climate change. Because it takes a long time for the rainforest to go to dry, have drought, and turn into the desert.
2
What cause climate change?
Some climate change happens because of natural causes.
3
GLOBAL WARMING
Is when the temperature on Earth is getting hotter.
4
GREENHOUSE
This is a "Greenhouse", it is made of glass. This greenhouse is used to grow plants.
The sunlight goes in the glass, the glass traps the sunlight (the heat of the sun) which makes the greenhouse very warm.
5
GREENHOUSE EFFECT
The green house effect is when gases in Earth's atmosphere trap the Sun's heat.
Because human activities, we have factories, cars, motobikes and we burn so fuels like gasonline, oil, burn thoes things to provide electronic, cars that we drive.
6
GREEN HOUSE GASES
Come from cars, motorbikes, and factories.
Fossil fuels are things such as coal, gas, and oil.
They are burnt in a power station to make electricity and are used to run cars.
When we burn fossil fuels, greenhouse gases escape.
7
Cutting down or burning trees is called DEFORESTATION.
Trees make oxygen so we can breathe.
They breathe in dangerous greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and breathe out wonderful oxygen.
When we cut down trees, there is more greenhouse gases. The trees can not produce oxygen for us anymore and take in dioxide.
8
METHANE GAS
Cows release methane, which is a dangerous greenhouse gas.
Cows release greenhouse gases too! If we eat a lot of meat, farmers will want more cows.
More cows = more greenhouse gases.
