​Discover code bugs [errors] and Debug [fix] them .

​Think in pairs about how to edit a code ?

​Activity#1: Edit te title of the window

​Open a Python Program in IDLE and Rename the File

​⮚Open IDLE (Python)

⮚From the File menu, select Open

Go to the Turtle folder. ( Ask your teacher where this is located.)

⮚Select edit. Click open

​

⮚From the File menu, select Save As. Go to the place where you save your work.

⮚Add student name to the file name. Click Save

⮚Look at the first line of code. It imports the Turtle library of commands :

​Edit the Title of the Window

⮚Find the code that has the title

      from turtle import* 

​      # set the background 

​      title("Edit a python Script")

​⮚From the Run menu, select Run Module.

⮚Look at the top of the canvas. It has the title :

​      Edit a python script 

​

⮚Close the canvas and Python Shell.

​

​Add your name to the title :

​title(" Edit a python script by student Name")

​⮚From the File menu, select Save or press CTRL + S.

⮚From  the Run menu, select Run Module.

⮚Look at the top of the canvas. It has the edited title :

 

​ Edit a python script by student name

⮚Close the canvas and python Shell.                             

​Set the Screen Size and Background Col

​⮚The screen size sets the width and height of the canvas. Change the canvas size :

​ screensize(1000,1000)

⮚ From the File menu, select Save or press CTRL + S.

⮚From the Run menu, select Run Module.

⮚Drag the scroll bars to see more of the window

​⮚Close the canvas and Python Shell.

​

​set the background color using a color name. Pick a color from the list below:

​bgcolor("honeydew")

⮚Apply your skills  to view the changes

Change the Speed, Pen size, and Shape of the Turtle

6.The  speed that the Turtle moves can be changed. Try it !

7. The pen size can be set. A low value makes a thin line. A higher value makes a thick line. Change the pen size to a number between 1-10​
