Jack goes to the Doctor's
Jack does not feel very well. He rings the surgery and makes an appointment with the receptionist. Then he goes to see the doctor. He waits his turn in the waiting room. There are other people there. They don’t look very happy! After about ten minutes, Jack’s name is called and he goes into the examination room. The doctor asks Jack some questions and then he asks him to lie down. He examines Jack. First, he takes the stethoscope and he listens to his chest. Jack’s breathing sounds fine. His heart rate is normal. That’s good!
36
Next, the doctor gets the thermometer and he takes Jack’s temperature. Jack’s temperature is a bit high. He thinks Jack has got an infection. Finally, he tests Jack’s reflexes. He taps on his knee. His reflexes are good! The doctor makes a diagnosis. He tells Jack that he has got an infection. He writes a prescription for antibiotics. He tells Jack to rest for a couple of days. He advises Jack to come back to the surgery if he does not improve. The pharmacy is next door to the surgery. Jack takes his prescription and gives it to the pharmacist. The pharmacist gives Jack his medication. Let’s wish him a speedy recovery! Get well soon, Jack!
