​Let's first think about what 30+100 is.

​Let's talk about the last one. What is 36+50?

• Let's make this easier by taking away the 6.

• ​So what is 30+50=?

• ​If you said it was 80, your correct.

• ​Now we have to add the 6 back.

• ​What is 80+6=?

• ​If you said it was 86, your correct.
