​Every team is a group, but not every group is a team

​Teams VS Groups

• ​uncoordinated and only have a general goal

• ​hasn't clearly defined or developed roles and responsibilities

• ​rules in a group are upcoming depending on the group’s needs

• ​group members may work individually

• coordinated group and having a common and specific goal​

• ​has developed and discussed roles and responsibilities

• ​the rules in a team customized to help the teamwork together

• ​team members work together collaborativelly

The 4 stages of the group process/cycle​

• ​1. Forming: when each of the group members started to learn more about the other

• ​2. Storming: when each of the group members realize that they belong to the group

• ​3. Norming: when each of the group members communicate together and put a plan to achieve their goal

• ​4. Performing: when each of the group members felt motivated, showed empathy, trusted and supported each other, and collaborated in confront issues

​Effective team

• having a clear and elevating goal

• having highly structured

• having qualified team members

• having united commitment

• having cooperative climate

• having high standards

• having external support and recognition

• having principled leadership
