How to be a pro at Tetris
by Air/Cyan
2
The beginning of a game
There are two blocks you should look out for when starting a match. Those are the ORANGE and BLUE blocks. I'll get to why in a little bit. CYAN blocks are also good to have. And same here, I'll get to why later.
3
How to successfully perform a Tetris Line Clear
By building a 9x4 tower, if you place a CYAN block in the hole, it will give you a Tetris Line Clear along with some extra power.
4
How to successfully perform a T-spin
To do a T-spin, you need a hole looking like the picture.
Then you'll need to slide the PURPLE block in like it is
shown. Then you rotate the block once, and you will get
a T-spin, along with extra power, significantly more power than Tetris Line Clears. There are variations of this: Mini T-spins, T-spin Singles, T-spin Doubles, and T-spin Triples. You will get one of those, each with its own amount of added power.

T-spin Triples
Do you remember when I said that I'll get to why the ORANGE and BLUE blocks were the best to begin with? Well, now's where I say why. They may seem like the most average blocks in the game, but I disagree. They are powerful. The beginning of this move is to keep the blocks in the default rotation and bring them to the side of the map where they touch the side. Then press Y once on the RED or GREEN block, and put it on the ORANGE or BLUE block. Then cap the top, and then slip the PURPLE block into the hole, wait, and rotate. This adds about double the extra power of a T-spin Single.

Towering
When I said the CYAN block was good as well and won bronze in the best blocks to start with, it's because of towering. By holding the CYAN block, you can either try and build to get a Tetris Line Clear, or set up something I like to call towering. To tower, you can chain multiple CYAN blocks in a pillar on the side of the map. Then, I like to build up, then go in a few more blocks to the middle. Then you get an easily-built tower in the end, preparing for strong moves.
7
Marathon mode
In Marathon, some of these tips change. The extra power is not added, because there are no opponents, hence you will die less. Secondly, you should choose 999 Line Mode, simply because it ends your Marathon session very early on in 150 Line Mode. And, in 999 Line Mode, you will take on average 35 minutes before completing, compared to 150 Line Mode, which you will take only 7 minutes on average.

Have a good game!
I hope these tips caught your attention and they helped you improve. After all, I only had this game for around 3 years, and there's bound to be something for me to learn, so I hope you will have a good game.
