Must : จะต้อง It's necessary

must ใช้ในกรณีที่เราคิดเองว่าต้องทำ โครงสร้างคือ must + verb infinitive (กริยาช่อง1) เช่น We must talk to her before she leaves. (ฉันต้องคุยกับเธอก่อนที่เธอจะไป) ถ้าใช้ประโยคนี้คือคุณคิดว่านี่เป็นเรื่องสำคัญมากและต้องคุย

have to : จะต้อง It's the rule. It's necessary

have to ใช้ในกรณีที่สถานการณ์เป็นตัวบังคับให้เราจำเป็นต้องทำ ซึ่งเราอาจจะไม่อยากทำ อาจเป็นกฎหรือข้อบังคับให้ทำ โครงสร้างคือ have to + verb infinitive (กริยาช่อง1) เช่น I have to stop smoking.(ฉันจำเป็นต้องเลิกสูบบุหรี่ : หมออาจจะสั่งให้เลิกสูบ)

​mustn’t หมายถึง “ต้องไม่...”  ซึ่งเป็นกฎหรือข้อบังคับว่า “ห้ามทำ” โครงสร้างคือ mustn’t + verb infinitive (V.1) เช่น You mustn’t drink if you’re going to drive.(คุณต้องไม่ดื่มเหล้าถ้าคุณจะขับรถ : เพราะผิดกฎหมาย)

​don’t have to/doesn’t have to หมายถึง “ไม่จำเป็นต้อง...” นั่นคือจะทำหรือไม่ทำก็ได้ โครงสร้างคือ don’t have to/doesn’t have to + verb infinitive (V.1) เช่น  He doesn't have to wear a suit to work but he usually does.(เขาไม่จำเป็นต้องใส่สูทไปทำงานก็ได้ แต่เขาก็ใส่ไปเป็นปกติ)
