HARMONY. THE CHORD
When we talk about Harmony, we are referring to the accompaniment that a melody has, that is, a set of sounds that are played at the same time, accompanying the melody and enriching it.
3
In a musical group, the singer makes the melody and the other instruments (guitar, keyboard and bass) make the harmony, that is, the accompaniment. Finally, the drum set makes the rhythmic accompaniment.
4
Unlike the melody, which is a set of notes one after another in a successive sequence, in the harmony we are talking about simultaneous sounds, that is, sounds that are played at the same time. These simultaneous sounds are organised in Chords
5
A Chord is a set of three or more notes that are combined and played simultaneously.
