HARMONY. THE CHORD

When we talk about Harmony, we are referring to the accompaniment that a melody has, that is, a set of sounds that are played at the same time, accompanying the melody and enriching it.

In a musical group, the singer makes the melody and the other instruments (guitar, keyboard and bass) make the harmony, that is, the accompaniment. Finally, the drum set makes the rhythmic accompaniment.

Unlike the melody, which is a set of notes one after another in a successive sequence, in the harmony we are talking about simultaneous sounds, that is, sounds that are played at the same time. These simultaneous sounds are organised in Chords
