Lord Jesus was born to a pious woman named Mary and a well-known carpenter, Joseph. He was born in a barn on 25th December.

​Jesus was crucified by Roman soldiers because they thought that Jesus' teachings were not worthwhile. One of Jesus' men, Judas, betrayed him due to which he was crucified. But, Jesus was resurrected after three days.

​On Christmas day, people decorate fir trees with ornaments.

​On Christmas day, people also bake cookies in hope that Santa might eat them and give gifts to the children of the household.

​Many young children are lit up in hopes that Santa might bestow gifts upon them.

​Santa is also known as St. Nicholas. He was born in Turkey in around 270 A.D on 15th march . He is believed to give gifts to little children on Christmas day.

​Christmas is a Christian festival. It is still celebrated to this day by Christians and non-Christians alike. Christmas is originally derived from the name of Jesus Christ.
