​What is Narrative Text

​Narrative text is a text to amuse or to entertain readers with a story that deals with complications or problematic events

​"Generic Structure"

• ​Orientation (Pengenalan tokoh, waktu dan tempat terjadinya peristiwa)

• ​Complication (Masalah/konflik)

• ​Resolution (Penyelesaian masalah)

"​Language Features"

• ​Past tense (verb 2)

• T​ime connectives untuk mengurutkan kejadian-kejadian (then, before that, soon)

• ​Adverb phrases untuk menunjukkan lokasi kejadian atau peristiwa (In the jungle, in the mountain, here)

• ​Adjective yang membentuk noun phrase (long black hair, two red apples)

• ​Noun tertentu sebagai kata ganti orang, hewan dan benda tertentu dalam cerita. (stepsister, dwarfs, cinderella, Aladin)

• ​Menggunakan saying and thinking verb (told, said, thought)
