​What do we use comparatives and superlatives for?

To look at (two or more things) closely in order to see what is similar or different about them or in order to decide which one is better.

​Some adjectives are irregular:

​GOOD -> BETTER -> THE BEST

​BAD -> WORSE -> THE WORST

​FAR -> FURTHER -> THE FURTHEST

Comparative and Superlative adverbs.​

Sometimes we compare how we do something.

​Adverbs ending in -ly form comparatives and superlatives like this:
