Definition:

Sequence of Transformations:

A sequence of transformations is transformations performed one after another. It could be a reflection followed by a translation or a translation followed by a rotation. Any combination of transformations is called a sequence of transformations.

Characteristics of Each:

Translation: When we translate (or slide) a figure, the orientation of the figure does not change. All of the points stay in the same order, they are just moved somewhere else on the graph.

Reflection: When we reflect (or flip) a figure, the new figure is a mirror image about a certain axis. This causes the order of the points to change slightly.

Rotation: When we rotate (or turn) a figure, the order of the new figures points change. How it changes depends on how much it is rotated.
