The movemnt of higher social or economic groups into an area after it has been renovated and restored, which might result in the out-migration of the people who previously occupied an area.

Woodstock covers an area of less than 5 square kilometers and has a population of over 11, 500 with a density of 2300 per sq. kms.

The arrival of railway line, Woodstock became a fashionable seaside suburb known for its beach area.

The place grew rapidly due to its harbour access, improved transportation and industrialisation. e.g. Woodstock Glas Factory

The place had ceased to be a seaside resort, but many moved into the place in the 1970s and 1980s creating an urban renewal in 1900s.
