​What is light?

​Light is an energy.

Luminous & Non-Luminous

Luminous objects-Produce their own light.

Non-luminous objects-Don't produce their own light they reflect light.​

​Transparent, Translucent and Opaque objects

​Transparent-Light can go past Transparent objects and is see through.

Translucent-Some light can go past Translucent objects and is see through, but not clear.

Opaque-​No light can go past Opaque objects and is not see through.

Shadows​

​Shadows are formed when an object/animal/human is blocking a light source. Shadows look different, reason it depends on the position of the sun, In the afternoon our shadows is very small, In the morning our shadows are small, In the evening our shadows are big, In the night our shadows are very big. The position of the shadows change also, Only opaque objects can make shadows transparent objects do not make shadows, Translucent objects shadow are not clear, Opaque objects will make a clear shadow as it blocks the light from passing through the object.

​How to make a Shadow

​First a light source needs to pointing at an opaque object and a surface needs to be there and then a shadow is formed.
