Why do we need Energy?

​Everything we do requires energy.

We need energy to run, jump & study.

​So, Energy is the ability to do work

1. Muscular Energy

2. ​Electrical energy

3. ​Light energy

4. ​​Heat energy

5. ​Sound energy

6. Solar Energy​

There are 5 (also 6) common forms of energy:

1. ​Muscular energy

We use the energy in our muscles (muscular energy) to walk, write & move things.

2. Electrical Energy

Electrical Energy light up bulbs & moves fans.

Light Energy from the sun, fire or a bulb helps us see things.

3. Light Energy

4. Sound energy

Sound energy helps us speak, make music or other sounds.

5. Heat energy

Heat energy from fire helps us cook food.

6. Solar energy

Energy from the sun is known as solar energy. Nowadays, solar energy is captured in specially designed solar panels & used to generate electricity at homes & bigger buildings as well.

What are Fuels?

All vehicles need energy to run. This energy comes from the fuel the vehicles uses. Most vehicles run on fuels like petrol, diesel or CNG ( Compressed Natural Gas). When fuels are burnt they produce energy, which in turn makes the vehicle move. Fuels are used for cooking, for vehicles& to run machines
