Strona bierna

2
Strona bierna (passive voice) występuję w angielskim częściej niż w polskim. Używamy jej, gdy chcemy podkreślić konkretną czynność, a nie to, kto tę czynność wykonuje (być może nawet nie mamy takiej wiedzy).
3
Do budowania zdań w stronie biernej potrzebna będzie nam III forma czasowników, a więc i czasowniki nieregularne see saw SEEN, give, gave, GIVEN. Jeżeli czasownik jest regularny wystarczy dodać -ed
4
Konstrukcja strony biernej jest dosyć prosta, choć zależy od czasu, w którym chcemy zbudować zdanie. Podstawą jest:
TO BE + PAST PARTICIPLE (3 forma)
Jeśli mimo wszystko chcemy dodać informację o tym, kto wykonuje daną czynność, na końcu zdania możemy dostawić: by [person].
5
Strona bierna w czasie Present Simple:
PODMIOT + IS/ARE + PAST PARTICIPLE
These cars are made in Japan.
6
Strona bierna – czas Past Simple
PODMIOT + WAS/WERE + PAST PARTICIPLE
This house was built by my grandpa.
7
Strona bierna, a czasowniki modalne
Aby utworzyć stronę bierną z czasownikiem modalnym, należy dodać do niego nieodmieniona formę to be oraz III formą czasownika.
Their dog should be taken to a vet
czasownikiem modalnym jest również "will"
They will be met at the airport.
8
Uważamy na 2 czasy ciągłe- musimy oddać aspekt ciągły- czyli wprowadzić słówko "being"
The school is painted. The school is being painted.
He was arrested./ He was being arrested.
9
Najłatwiej tworzy się strone bierną w czasie perfect. Dlaczego? Bo czas perfect używa już 3 formy. Wystarczy pomiędzy formę "have" a 3 formę wstawić słówko BEEN. Przy present perfect trzeba jeszcze sprawdzić czy potrzebujemy have czy has.
They have washed their cat.
The cat has been washed.
