Explain command word
Explain why tropical rainforests need to be conserved. (4m)
List down two importance (uses) of tropical rainforest.
water catchment
lungs of the Earth
Then, explain each of them in detail.
How tropical rainforests can provide the water supply for us, so we need to conserve them.
How tropical rainforests is functioned as the lungs of the Earth, so we need to conserve them
3
Explain command word
Explain why tropical rainforests need to be conserved. (4m)
Tropical rainforests need to be conserved because they have many important uses for human's survival on Earth. Two among them are as water catchment and as green lungs of the Earth. (introduction)
Tropical rainforests slowed down some of the rainfall so that it can seep into the ground and be stored as groundwater. Should there be less trees, there will be less water stored, which will reduce the water supply. This will make the water price increase. (1st reason: water catchment)
4
Explain command word
Explain why tropical rainforests need to be conserved. (4m)
Tropical rainforests also function as the green lungs of the Earth, which help the Earth to "breathe". The trees absorb the carbon dioxide and emit oxygen. This way, around 20% of the Earth's oxygen is estimated to be generated by the Amazon rainforests alone. You can imagine the impact if we lose our tropical rainforests, since the generator of oxygen will be reduced a lot, so will the oxygen it produced. (2nd reason: green lungs of the Earth)
OR: act like the Earth's natural air purifier , OR its function to keep the Earth cool.
