The Great Blizzard of 1888

An example of a blizzard, is the Great Blizzard of 1888, lasting for about a week, the storms started as heavy rain but later turning into heavy snow. Dropping as much as 50 inches of snow around the east coast of America . It contained winds of hurricane-strength level (72km) and temperature dropping to -12.

How does this link to the water cycle?

​When a blizzard is being formed, warm air rises over cold air. It happens when winds pull cold air from the poles and warm air toward the poles from the equator. When warm and cold air is brought together a front is formed and precipitation occurs.
