​The underlined words in the sentences are called ADJECTIVES.

​An ADJECTIVE describes or modifies a noun or a pronoun.

  • In sentence number 1, we used the word cute to describe the baby.

  • In sentence number 2, we used the word happy ​to describe the baby.

  • In sentence number 3, we used purple to describe the color of the dress.​

The use of an adjective arouses the interest and make the sentence or story interesting.​
