​Inequalities exist in all urban areas. Inequality means extreme differences between poverty and wealth, as well as in people's wellbeing and access to things like jobs, housing and education.

​It is a fact that wealth inequality in cities across the world has accelerated dramatically. While economic globalisation has created great wealth, it is increasingly clear that the benefits of this growth are very unevenly distributed.
