The Houses of Parliament and Elizabeth Tower, commonly called Big Ben, are one of London's most iconic landmarks Technically, Big Ben is the name given to the massive bell inside the clock tower, which weighs more than 13 tons (13,760 kg).

Buckingham Palace has been the official London residence of the UK's sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarch. The Palace has 775 rooms.

Tower Bridge has stood over the River Thames in London since 1894. The bridge, which is about 240 metres in length and provides an opening 76 metres wide, is the only Thames bridge which can be raised.
