​Passive sentence adalah kalimat dimana subject kalimat menerima aksi bukan melakukan aksi.

Contoh:

Active --> Father plants the flower​

​​Passive--> The flower is planted by Father

​

​Subject in active will be an object in passive

​

​subject in passive come from the object of an active

​

​​ The Passive formula​:

subject + be + Verb 3​

​

​when will we use passive sentences:

( Kapan kalimat passive di gunakan)​

​​1. Bila pelaku tidak diketahui

( My wallet was stolen)

2. Bila pelaku tidak ingin disebut

( Mistake was made)

3. Bila pelaku ​sudah jelas tidak perlu disebut.

( vegetables is cooked for dinner)​

​Mother as the agent of the activity

​

The vegetables is cooked by Mother for dinner (passive)​

​Example

Mother cooks vegetables for dinner (active)

​The Family are cleaning the room

The room is being cleaned by the family
